What Hold That Reel does

Hold That Reel is an early-stage service that lets people send Reels, uploads, and notes to @holdthatreel, then keep the source, transcript, summary, tags, projects, and related notes together.

Information we collect

When you message the account, we may store:

• Your Instagram-scoped account identifier.
• Message identifiers, timestamps, and delivery metadata.
• The Reel URL and attachment information you send.
• Notes you send, project names, and automatically suggested tags.
• Feedback you submit in a DM or through the signed-in website.
• Generated transcripts, summaries, and takeaways.
• Hashed, short-lived sign-in tokens and your most recent login time.
• Subscription status, plan, billing period, and Stripe customer identifiers.
• Limited technical logs used for reliability and security.

We do not ask for or receive your Instagram password. Instagram message delivery is handled by Meta, and the private sign-in link is sent only through your Instagram chat with us.

Payment details are collected and processed by Stripe. Hold That Reel does not receive or store your full card number, bank account, or tax ID.

How we use information

We use this information only to operate the service: receive saved items, generate summaries and tags, organize projects, show your history, prevent abuse, review feedback, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information.

Service providers

We use infrastructure, database, AI-processing, and payment providers—including Stripe—to run the service. They process data only as needed to provide their services to Hold That Reel. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the service and its users.

Retention and security

Saved Reels, uploads, notes, projects, feedback, and generated content are retained until you request deletion or the service is discontinued. Operational logs may be kept for shorter periods. We use access controls, signed webhook verification, and server-only credentials, but no internet service can promise perfect security.

Delete your data

Send delete my data in an Instagram DM to @holdthatreel from the account whose data you want removed. We will use that message to verify the requesting account and delete its saved items, notes, projects, feedback, generated content, and associated message records. Requests are completed within 30 days.

Children and changes

The service is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the product changes; the effective date above will be revised when material changes are posted.
